چکیده
Abstract Decision makers need accurate information to address climate variability and change accelerate transformation sustainability. A stakeholder-driven, science-based multi-model approach has been developed used by the Agricultural Model Intercomparison Improvement Project (AgMIP) generate actionable for adaptation planning processes. For a range of mid-century projections—likely be hotter, drier, more variable—contrasting future socio-economic scenarios (Representative Pathways, RAPs) were co-developed with stakeholders portray sustainable development scenario rapid economic growth pathway. The unique characteristic this application is integration multi-modeling stakeholder engagement co-develop strategies. Distribution outcomes simulated climate, crop, livestock, impact assessment models smallholder crop livestock farmers in typical dryland agro-ecological zone Zimbabwe, characterized low erratic rainfall nutrient depleted soils. Results showed that Nkayi District, Western would threaten most farms, and, particular, those large cattle herds due feed shortages. Adaptation strategies promise included diversification using legume production, soil fertility improvement, investment conducive market environments. switch legumes farming systems reduced vulnerability very poor as well resourced farmers. Overall, consistently addressed institutional failures motivated productivity-enhancing, environmentally sound technologies inclusive approaches. This yielded favorable than quick wins from commercializing agriculture.

Climate change impacts and adaptation assessment in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is likely to be one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to climate change. This paper discusses the possible impacts of climate change in Bangladesh through tropical cyclones, storm surges, coastal erosion and back water effect. The possible increase in cyclone frequency in the Bay of Bengal, lying south of Bangladesh, due to climate change is looked at by analyzing the cyc...
متن کاملCity-scale integrated assessment of climate impacts, adaptation and mitigation
Worldwide, cities are faced with the challenge of designing and implementing the transition to a state in which their greenhouse gas emissions are drastically reduced and they are well adapted to the impacts of climate change. There is increasing understanding of the synergies and conflicts in the objectives of mitigation and adaptation. These interactions are no more vivid than in urban areas,...

Multi-model ensembles of climate predictions constructed by running several global climate models for a common set of experiments are available for impact assessment of climate change. Multi-model ensembles emphasize the uncertainty in climate predictions resulting from structural differences in the global climate models as well as uncertainty due to variations in initial conditions or model pa...
